Comments: Booked on a super cheap z rate.. under 400/nt inc taxes. Letter from GM acknowledging ambassador status, his card, and some Italian waters, plus vouchers for full American breakfast (room only rate) The breakfast thread clearly says Cont. only, so this is either a status or suite bonus – either way, it’s still worth $50. No comp on the $60 a day parking, though. 🙂

Comments: Requested SNA and received email five days before stay confirming Deluxe Suite, which is not even listed as a room type on SPG.com. It’s a nice two-room suite. RACK rate on the door is an astounding: $3,129.

Comments: I was sad to see the Pied Piper mural is still gone. Was told it is supposed to be back early June. We shall see…..what a shame if it does not make it back. When checking in, there was a long line at the Front Desk. I went to the Platinum/Gold line which was empty and was asked if I was Platinum/Gold. Responded yes and was called up. Oh my, there were some very angry and vocal people when I went up to the desk.

Comments: Was very pleasantly surprised to receive such a nice suite, confirmed in advance, when the hotel was hosting a couple of conferences during that time, and the conference I was attending had sold out several other hotels near Moscone. Then again, perhaps is had as much to do with being a repeat customer as being Plat. It’s not a huge number, but I’ve accrued more SPG nights here than any other *W hotel. Received: Superior Suite (Deluxe Suite on the confirmation e-mail)
