Comments: My reservation said the room would be 35m2, but I think it was more like 25. Apart from that the full buffet breakfast was great, and the internet was free. Lounge is small but wasn’t busy. Received Harbor View…don’t know if it was ‘deluxe’ or not. 9F.

Comments: According to the website Executive Suites are available every night of my stay (these are the rooms avail to Plats according to the front desk). After lengthy discussions with the front desk, they insist they are overbooked and no suites are available. I showed them the website via my computer and asked what they would do if I booked one of the avail Exec suites while they watched. Would they walk me to another hotel? They just smiled and said, thank you for your understanding. Not good. After going back down to the front desk with my computer and spending considerable time back and forth with the front desk, I was able to get them to give me one of the available suites for 4 of my 5 nights. Ridiculous that I am required to spend such effort to get a benefit that I earned. I suppose now my thread belongs in the partial failure thread 😉

Comments: Checked in @ 10 am today, but have to come back to HKG the following weekend. Made a reservation for next weekend while waiting for my suite but as the price was too steep, decided to use 12k points instead. Went to front desk and requested to be upgraded to a specific suite room #, where i always stay at, for next weekend’s booking.. Upgraded on the spot with updated confirmation email.
